We hope to see you tonight at our Unplugged for Summer Family Night! We will be in the gym from 6pm-7pm, so be sure to park IN FRONT of the school. The first 100 Storms will get a free book, plus we will be giving away activities to do over the summer.


RIS Green Heart Helpers reminded everyone that today is Earth Day! This group does a wonderful job each week making sure our playground is clean.



Cyclone Soccer is hosting a mini camp for students K-8 at the RHS football stadium tonight, April 22. Registration begins at 5:30! Fliers went home last week! You can still sign up today!


RIS' Wellness Wednesday had special guests Megan Selman, CEO/President of the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce, Christie Graham, Executive Director of Tourism and Visitor Center for Russellville, and Russellville Mayor Fred Teague. So many fun and exciting things happening in and around our hometown. Students were able to ask questions and hear about the business opportunities and even the process involved in bringing events, businesses, etc. to Russellville.
Special note: all three guests are graduates of the Russellville School District.

Storms, mark your calendars for April 25 6pm-7pm for RIS Family Night: Unplugged for Summer! Join us and community resources to learn about summer opportunities for you to take part in this summer. The first 100 students will receive Gordon Korman's book "Unplugged."


RSD 4th graders, if you are interested in being a Stormbot on the RIS Robotics team next year, this is your chance! Please share with any RSD 4th graders!

Our Capturing Kids' Hearts concept for the month of April is PERSEVERANCE. Read over the attached newsletter to read about some ways to encourage this skill at home!

Be on the look out for report cards today! Please celebrate success and help your STORM make goals to finish out the last quarter strong!


Mark your calenders so you don't miss an AMAZING RIS musical April 1! A/B hallway is at 6 PM and C/D is at 7:30 PM at the Performing Arts Center (PAC). Please have your student there 15 minutes early.
All Storms will be practicing at the PAC from 9:30-11:30 AM April 1.

Quintin Collins with QC Training, came to Wellness Wednesday this week and put the kids through a circuit training session which even included a hand and eye coordination rotation.
