RJHS is proud to announce that our very own Whirlwind Symphonic Winds will have the honor of performing at the Hot Springs Convention Center in a State Honor Band Performance on February 17th. These students will perform at 4:30. We are proud to call these students Whirlwinds!

It's almost time for someone to kiss a pig! Find out who at the pep rally this coming Monday, January 23, 2023 at 2:15pm! Parents & Guardians are welcome to attend! Check in through the RJHS office and receive a visitors badge.
FYI:
The remaining RMS basketball games will now be played in the RJHS gym. These games will still start at 4 pm.
The two remaining RJHS home games will move to a new format. We will start the girls' 8th-grade game at 4 pm and the 8th-grade boys' game will follow the 8th girls' game.
All four games will be played on the main floor of the RJHS gym.
This coming Friday, January 20, 2023, we will be honoring the students at our Second Quarter Whirlwind Awards! The 8th-grade assembly will start at 8:15 and the 9th-grade assembly will start at 9:00. Parents are welcome to attend. Please sign in at the front office to receive a visitor's badge.
This past Friday, the RJHS Admin visited Russellville Middle School to talk with 7th graders about what they will experience as a Whirlwind! We are excited to see these faces next school year!

The NJHS annual Kiss the Pig Fundraiser starts Tuesday, January 17th thru Friday, January 20th!
9th Grade NJHS members will start collecting money this coming week.
Students can bring coin or cash to "vote" for the staff member and student who will kiss a pig (yes, a real baby pig!) at the pep rally on Monday, January 23rd!
The RJHS affirmation chain is GROWING! It has made it way all the way down the front 9th grade hall, through the Library, and into the front 8th grade hall! Our goal is to have it stretch around the ENTIRE RJHS building by May.

Semester Exams at RJHS begin this Thursday. Semester exams are 20% of the students semester grade and we want to encourage students to do their best. Students must attend from the time their first semester exam begins to the time of their last semester test ends for the day. They may not check out after a test, leave campus, and return to test later in the same day. Students must remain in their testing room for the entire period to avoid distracting other students that are still testing. Once students have completed their last exam for the day, they must be signed out in the main office.
