Our students love art with Mrs. Arnold! Fourth grade students from Mrs. Tankersley's class practiced using elements of art (line, form, and texture) in order to make dragon eyes in art class.

OHE had a great first week of school!! I am so proud of how our students settled into routines and are already learning new things in their classrooms. I wanted to remind you that we will have Smart Start Mondays each week this year. Buses will run an hour late to pick up students and OHE students’ regular day will begin with recess at 8:30. If students need to be dropped off before that time, they will be supervised and have alternate activities to do. This is an important time for our classroom teachers so they can ensure we are giving our students targeted instruction and provide the most effective learning. If you drop your students off between 7:30 and 8:30, please walk them to the front doors. We are looking forward to another great week next week with some cooler temperatures and the opportunity to spend recess time outside and to see our students shine this week.

We had a great first week of school! We are so proud of our Oakland All Stars. Learning is underway! #OHEistheplacetobe #AchievingExcellenceTogether
