
Our OHE Robotics Team competed in VEX IQ Robotics Tournament in Russellville this past weekend. They placed 4th overall! We are so proud of the team and all of their hard work!

We celebrated our students today at our November SHINE assembly! Students earned stars for showing teamwork, our Capturing Kids Hearts word of the month. Students also received awards for showing character traits from our profile of an OHE student. Former Oakland All Stars that are now RHS students joined us and delivered our awards! #OHEistheplacetobe #AchievingExcellenceTogether


Ms. Golden's class loves literacy centers! During this time, students learn how to work with a partner while strengthening their literacy skills using hands on centers. They also get to explore new books as they become fluent and independent readers! #AchievingExcellenceTogether

Our 3rd Grade Annual Thanksgiving Feast was a success! Students worked together to help prepare the food! Thank you to Bridgestone for donating the corn, Ridgewood Brothers for smoking the turkeys, and our volunteers who helped prepare and serve. Teamwork makes the dream work! #OHEistheplace

Thank you for donating to our PTO "Dress a Teacher Like a Turkey" fundraiser! Ms. Dunn won the contest! She made a fabulous Turkey! Her class even dressed as turkeys too!





We had an amazing Thanksgiving meal today! It was so nice to have our Oakland families join us for lunch! Thank to our cafeteria staff and all of the extra help provided by Oakland staff and parents!

LifeTouch picture retake day is Tuesday, November 14th. New students and students that were absent on picture day will have pictures taken. Retakes: Students may have their picture taken if the complete package of pictures ordered is returned.


Our students love music with Mrs. Bell! Kindergarten students are learning to play high and low notes on the interactive keyboard. 4th grade students are learning to play classroom percussion instruments.
