
Can you hold the sun and moon in your hands? Students are participating in activities that show distance can change the appearance of objects in the sky. The moon will cover the sun during the eclipse because the placement and distance are lined up perfectly.

Eclipse Education is underway! Students are learning when they should wear their eclipse glasses and when it’s safe to view the eclipse without the glasses. All classes personalized face shields that will help protect their eyes. Special thanks to Brittany Moores for assembling face shields for our All Stars!






Solar Eclipse Dress Up Days...We are preparing for the eclipse with some dress up days! Please see the details below.


The Rockefeller String Quartet from the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra performed the “Science of Music” for our third and fourth graders. Students learned about pitch and sound waves demonstrated through several classical music pieces. Thank you to Bill and Sharon Eaton and Mary Lou Douglas from the Russellville Symphony Guild for inviting our guests, and to Mrs. Bell for always inspiring a love for music in all of our students!








Fractions can be so much fun! Mrs. Youngblood's class is mastering concepts through hands on exploration! They used fraction tiles to compare fractions on a number line in Zearn.

Mrs. Powers class has been learning addition and subtraction using the standard algorithm with two digit and three digit numbers with regrouping! #EducateEquipEmpower



Mrs. Hudson’s kindergarten class has been working on identifying events using fairy tales. The students listened to the “Three Little Pigs” and wrote about their favorite event that happened in the story. Each student decided if their event happened in the beginning, middle, or end. This was a fun way for students to practice retelling skills!
