The Center for the Arts - Policies


Allow yourself time to park and get to the theatre by planning to arrive at least 45 minutes before your performance time.


Parking for patrons with disabilities is located directly in front of the main entrance and on the right side of facility from main entrance. Passenger loading and unloading is available along the curb immediately in front of the main entrance to lobby and on the right side of the building. Wheelchair seating and seats with swing away arms are available on both levels of theatre. Please notify the need of this seating when purchasing tickets. An elevator is available directly across from the Box Office for easy access to the lower level and balcony level of theatre. All restroom facilities are wheelchair accessible. Listening devices are free of charge and available in the Box Office. Devices are available on a first come first serve basis. The Center makes every attempt to begin each performance at its scheduled time. Please be advised that many productions require that latecomers not be admitted until there is a suitable break, as deemed by the show’s director or Center Manager.


Due to copyright laws and in consideration of the performers, the use of photographic or recording devices of any kind inside the theatre is strictly prohibited. If you bring a camera or recording device with you, we may politely ask you to check it at the Box Office window.


Use of cameras, recording equipment and cellular phones are not permitted. All pagers and cell phones must be silenced before the start of the performance.


No weapons of any type including firearms, knives, etc. are allowed in facility or on facility grounds at any time. Anyone seen with a weapon will be asked to leave and authorities will be called.


The Center is an alcohol and smoke free environment. Arkansas State Law prohibits smoking or us of tobacco in enclosed areas, buildings, or facilities of a public school or on any property owned by a public school district. Use of or the sale of intoxicants or controlled substances will not be permitted in The Center or on the surrounding campus grounds at any time or under any circumstances. User is responsible for monitoring adherence to this policy.

Only service animals required for use by persons with disabilities are allowed inside facility.


The Center Manager will hold lost articles until the end of the performance. Contact the Center Box Office to report a lost or found item.


The Center for the Arts is committed to providing quality cultural experiences for audience members of all ages, although some performances may not be suitable for very young children. Every child, regardless of age (even if lap-sitting), must have a ticket purchased for them unless otherwise stated. We ask that children sit quietly throughout the entire performance. If a child becomes disruptive, the child and his/her adult companion(s) may be asked to step into the lobby until the child is able to return to the quite environment of the theatre. To ensure safety, children under the age of 8 will not be allowed to sit in the front row on the balcony level. Thank you for understanding.
