Carol Heathcoat

Dyslexia Interventionist

I am a proud graduate of Russellville High School and Arkansas Tech University with a degree in Elementary Education, certified in Kindergarten through 6th grade. I am also endorsed as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher and dyslexia interventionist using Barton, Phonics First, and Rite Flight programs. I have been a teacher at Crawford Elementary School since August of 2001. I love our school and am so proud to be a Crawford Eagle! My husband, Craig, and I have three wonderful sons and soon our first daughter-in-law. We are so excited! I love to read, do puzzles, and play my flute at church. I look forward to working with our Crawford Eagles and their families this year as part of the intervention team to help strengthen our students' reading, writing, and math skills.

Hello! I am so excited to teach in my new role as Reading Interventionist this year! Prior to this year I completed 33 years of teaching as a Kindergarten Teacher at Crawford. I graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 1987 and my favorite things include spending time with family, at church, camping and the cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks!
