I absolutely love my job as an art teacher and I LOVE teaching students about art everyday. There is no greater joy than seeing a child learn, understand, and show enthusiasm about making art. I currently live in Russellville with my husband Shane and daughter Audrey. I graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a B.A. in graphic design and art education and have been employed with the Russellville School District since 2009. I have a strong passion in art advocacy, and for several years have worked for the non-profit Arkansas Art Educators Association as Elementary Division Director and Western Regional Art Show Coordinator. |

My name is Sarah Curlin and I am thrilled to be Sequoyah's music teacher! I received my bachelor degree in vocal music education from Arkansas Tech University in 2010. Before teaching at Sequoyah, I worked at Bryant Middle School where I taught sixth grade general music, seventh grade beginning guitar, & sixth grade choir. Along with teaching music, I enjoy performing in theatrical productions in and around our community. My passion and my goal is to give my students a love for music, while at the same time giving them a strong foundation in the elements of music. |

My name is Julie Oxendine and I get to teach P.E. to the greatest kids in Russellville! I have been teaching in Russellville for 25 years and at Sequoyah for 12 years. Prior to teaching at Sequoyah, I coached girls basketball, volleyball, and boys and girls golf. I graduated from The University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in physical education. In my spare time, I enjoy golfing and spending time with my husband Greg and two kids Meagan and Harrison (and our dogs Annabelle and Duke).

My name is Denise Wiedower and I am in my eighth year of teaching at Sequoyah Elementary in the science lab. I have a total of 15 years of teaching experience in various grade levels and content areas. I currently live in Greenbrier with my husband Steve and our two daughters Kaylee and Kenzie. I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in education. I also obtained an endorsement to teach fifth-eighth science and social studies and received my master's degree in school counseling.

My name is Christy Howerton and I have been teaching for 22 years. I began my teaching career in northwest Arkansas, where I taught for 13 years before moving to Russellville. I currently teach reading recovery and love every minute of it! I enjoy reading and spending time with my husband and two children, Gunnar and Maddy.
My name is Amber Underwood. I have been teaching for 14 years. Eleven of those have been in Russellville. I am currently a reading recovery teacher and hold my National Board Certification for reading-language arts for ages 3-12. I enjoy being outdoors, running, kayaking, and spending time with my son, Colton.

Hi, I’m Mrs. Stobaugh and I am thrilled to be teaching your child this year. I have been teaching since 2004 at Sequoyah. I like to play basketball and watch movies. My husband is a crop farmer and we have two precious children. I really love our school and it is a happy place to learn! I am the math interventionist at Sequoyah. I currently teach kindergarten through fourth grade students math skills in small groups.
