Graduate with Honors

In addition to meeting all regular requirements previously outlined, a student working for honors recognition must:

  1. Earn 9 academic credits from honors courses. 
  2. Maintain a cumulative grade point (grades 9-12 inclusive) of a 3.50 or better. Recognition will be designated as follows:
  3. a. With Highest Honors: grade point of 4.0 and above with five of the nine required honors courses being Advanced Placement and from four different areas.
    Students graduating with highest honors sit at the front of the group of students at graduation. The students with highest honors and ranked 1st-4th are graduation speakers.
    b. With High Honors: grade point of 3.75 and above with four of the nine required honors courses being Advanced Placement and from four different areas.
    c. With Honors: grade point of 3.50 and above with three of the nine required honors courses being Advanced Placement and from three different areas.

  4. Honor graduates will be tentatively determined prior to graduation with the final determination based on final grades. The complete high school record will be used in making the calculation.
