Identified gifted & talented students in grades 3-5 meet one full day each week with an elementary G/T specialist in one of the G/T resource rooms:
Students in 3rd grade meet at London Elementary.
Differentiation in the G/T resource room focuses on content, enrichment, and extension of basic skills. The curriculum has been designed to address critical and creative thinking skills, research skills, independent learning and product construction. Affective behavior is examined to help students better understand themselves, others around them, and to develop personal responsibility for their learning.
Classroom teachers compact the curriculum for these students allowing them to work in the resource room as established by following the RSD Policy.
