Reading recovery is a research-based, short-term intervention of one-to-one teaching in literacy for first-graders. Reading recovery students receive 30-minute lessons each school day for several weeks from a specially trained teacher. The goal of reading recovery is to help students become proficient readers and writers.
|Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Boswell. I have taught at Center Valley since 2015. I taught third grade for 3 years and now I am a Reading Specialist. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Arkansas Tech University and a Master's Degree in The Science of Reading. In my free time, I enjoy getting outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering my time as a leader over the kids ministry at my church. I have always had a passion for working with children! My goal is to help raise some amazing men and women. I want my students to be creative, problem solvers, and independent. “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.” ― Dr. Seuss, Oh, The Places You'll Go!|
