5 things to know this weekend

From the Office of the Superintendent- 5 things you need to know;

1. RSD meals will be changing beginning the week of April 13- 

Our bus deliveries will continue to deliver at 9:30 a.m.- but only on Tuesdays and Fridays.

*Tuesdays we will deliver 3 days worth of meals, and on Friday two days worth of meals.

*The drive-thru style meal distribution at the elementary schools will also go to two days per week, Tuesdays and Fridays.

Beginning Tuesday, April 14 all schools will have one time, 10:30 a.m. for both a hot breakfast and a hot lunch pick up. (Dwight Elementary are still to go to RMS for their meals.) 

*Tuesdays we will deliver 3 days worth of meals, and on Friday two days worth of meals.

2. It's kindergarten registration time! 

Beginning on Monday, April 13, all elementary schools will have a secure location available for their registration packet pick ups. 

Pre-K registration information for the school will also be available.

Please register your child in the attendance zone you currently live, (if you would like to complete a zone transfer you may do so at a later date.)

3.School Choice and Zone Transfer Information

May 1, 2020 is the deadline.

You can find information on school choice and zone transfer information on our website.
But, please call the Office of the Superintendent, 968-1306, or email Renae.Bailey@rsdk12.net for more information on how to complete these documents.

4. Mental Health Check in- 

We want to continue supporting our students, staff, and families during this crisis.

5.Establishing a normal routine is beneficial during a time like this.
It doesn't have to be lengthy or elaborate. But a normal schedule can be helpful to both children and adults during a crisis. Consider incorporating daily exercise and reading for pleasure as a way to cope with the crisis we are in.
