5 things to know for Wednesday, April 8

Good Wednesday evening RSD,

\r\n

Here are 5 things from the office of the Superintendent you need to know for today-
1. Dr. Gotcher encourages you to continue to stick to a daily routine during this transition from school/work to home.
We thrive on schedules, they don't have to be complex or lengthy but should be consistent. Take this time to focus on your health, your mental wellbeing, and find a good book!

2. Our school nurses have coordinated within their building's what days they will be in their office for parents to pick up their medications and medical supplies left behind. I will have a schedule out shortly of each school that you are welcome to share.

3.It's that time for our elementary GT referrals. There have been links posted on our website and social media this week to guide parents to the forms necessary to sign up their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders. For more information please contact Mrs. Dana Sumter, dana.sumter@rsdk12.net or 968.3106.
*The deadline has been pushed back to May 1, 2020.

4. Meal information will see a few more changes in the future. Elementary schools are still providing hot breakfast and lunch options,(Dwight elementary has moved it's pick up to RMS,) and our buses are still providing meals to our families via delivery.
We have shortened the amount of days we will deliver meals in an effort to decrease exposure for our staff and volunteers, however we will still deliver the same amount of meals each week as we have before.
*The next day the buses will deliver will be Friday.
If you have questions, please contact Kay Haulamark or Daniel Connerly in the office of child nutrition, 498.8836 for the most up to date information and schedules!

5.Social-emotional wellness has been top of our priorities during this time of crisis. For many it is a very uncertain time and can cause feelings of anxiety, depression, and even anger. We are still here for our students, staff, and families. If you know someone who needs to speak to an adult, contact the office of special services, 890.5733 or send them to our online form, https://core-docs.s3.amazonaws...
